Alice For Chidren Solidarity Project ♡

Alice For Children is an NGO that has been working for more than 15 years in Kenya, whose projects are aimed at low-income children and young adults in Nairobi, in the Maasai community of Rombo, at the foot of Kilimanjaro.

Currently, it helps more than 3,000 children and their respective families, with schooling programs and health care. During these 15 years it has been able to carry out the following projects: 3 schools (which include daycare services and schooling up to ESO), an orphanage and different special projects.

Alice Food Academy

Empowering the boys and girls of Nairobi is synonymous with guaranteeing them a better future, far from the poverty into which they were born. The objective of Alice For Children not only means keeping them away from poverty, but also giving them the necessary skills and knowledge to be autonomous and independent adults in the world of work.

With this objective, in 2018 it was inaugurated Alice Food Academy, the first professional Italian cooking school dedicated to the young children of Nairobi. The academy consists of an intensive 4-month course with Italian teachers with the aim of helping students acquire knowledge about Italian cuisine, which allows them to differentiate themselves in the world of work and get a job in the tourism and restaurant sector. Collaborate with the Association

In Bresca we want to contribute to this project with our Solidarity Plate*, helping students with scholarships that allow them to continue studying and improve their future. Thanks to these scholarships, students will be able to attend an innovative course, unique in Kenya, thanks to the collaboration of Italian and Kenyan gastronomic experts.

The classes will consist of 20 students, aged between 17 and 22, from the Alice For Children orphanage and technical schools. They will live in the association's facilities for the entire duration of the course.

Furthermore, there are different types of scholarships: 1,000 euros will provide an annual scholarship, 4,000 euros are equivalent to a 4-year scholarship, and 1,500 euros are equivalent to an intensive training course taught by Italian professionals.

*Solidarity plate: for each plate of “Happy heart” served, €1 will go to the Alice For Children association.
